We are working with the Charlotte Trolley and
their "Changemakers" Program in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School
System
2007-2008. It is sponsored by a grant from ArtsTeach. Here are photos from
our production of the "Time Trolley." It
was performed for the 3rd grade students at Myers Park Traditional 9/21/2007 and

The 3rd grade students of Highland Renaissance Academy performed their plays
on 3/21/2008. Most of them had never been on a stage before. They
were terrific. Thanks for Sarah Lewis for backstage assistance as my Stage
manager. Pam Lewis, from the Charlotte Trolley and I (Della Freedman
of About Town Tours), did a residency at the school to teach the students how to
write plays based on their research of many of the Changemakers in
Charlotte. I took their scripts, and using their words, created two plays
"A Night In The Museum" and "The Evil Wizard."

Mrs. Freedman,
Thanks for your help and support. The play was a
success and the students enjoyed themselves. Again thanks.
